Ski Les Coches

The ski area of Paradiski (Les Arcs & La Plagne) are joined together via the Vanoise Express cable car, which is capable of transporting 200 people in its double decker car across the ponturin valley a mile from the valley floor from one side to the other and at this present time is the worlds largest cable car.

The combined area of Paradiski (Les Arcs & La Plagne) has over 425km of skiable pistes and is one of the largest ski areas in the World. Both resorts on either side of the Ponturin Valley have skiing from 1200m to 3226m and 3250 respectively, and also one of the longest Black/Red runs in the World, the Aigulle Rouge down to Le Pre, where you can stop at the bottom for a well earned drink in the excellent restaurant La Ferme. All the resorts have a variety of pistes for all standards of skier from gentle blues to steep and deep, off-piste and couloirs.

Montchavin/Les Coches

Our chalet in Les Coches is at the heart of the area, lying just one lift from the Vanoise Express.

Les Coches at 1,450m is a small, modern village with a friendly atmosphere and Chalet Jessica probably has one the best ski location you will ever find for a ski holiday. Located within the village at the bottom of the piste into Les Coches, within 50 metres of the Plan Bois chair lift.

There is also a short gondola which takes you up to the ice rink and childrens ski school area. The traffic-free villages have a variety of shops, including local speciality shops, small supermarkets, a few bars and several great restaurants. Completed  in 2012 was a new swimming pool and wellness spa complex located in Montchavin and is one of three in the French Alps.
