You’re guaranteed a warm welcome at Chalet Jessica, nestling amongst the trees at Les Coches, this architect designed chalet sleeps 14-16 and comes with all mod cons
Vanoise Express, linking Les Arcs & La Plagne - the largest cable car in the world (for now!)
Many guests prefer the flexibility to organise their own transport to and from resort therefore our prices are for accommodation and food only. You will need to plan your own travel arrangements to resort.
Over the years we have flown, driven or taken the train to the Alps, there are plus and minus points to each one. We have included as much information as possible to get to the chalet, if there’s any information not in here that you’d like to know about, or thinking about then simply get in touch and we will give you our thoughts and advise based on years of travelling to the Alps.
Remember unlike other companies we are running our chalet Sunday to Sunday to make travel arrangements easier for our guests. Travelling on a Saturday in the mountains can be very frustrating.
As you would expect flying is the most popular way of getting here, with approx 80% of our guests choosing this method. The major operators are Easyjet, Flybe, Ski-Flights and Air France. One of the best web sites for searching flights is Skyscanner.net.
Chambery at 1.5hrs is the nearest airport, but generally flights in the ski season are Saturday and Sunday only, Geneva is the next closest at 2hrs, with many flights a day whilst Lyon & Grenoble are approx 2.5hrs away.
You will, however, need a transfer from the airport to our chalet. Be aware prices do vary due to dates, time of flights and number of people, please contact us regarding transfers because we have great contacts in the Alps and usually we can arrange this at a good price, especially if you book early.
It is also worth considering a hire car at the airport, we have plenty of on site parking available.
For those living in the South the train can be a great way of getting here as it takes you right to the heart of the Alps, the closest station is Bourg St Maurice which is only a 30 minute taxi transfer to the chalet. Please note the 'snow train' however arrives in Bourg on a Saturday and we run the chalet Sunday to Sunday so we will need to find guests accommodation in Bourg for that night.
Depending upon where you’re coming from in the UK, and the size of your party, driving may be a good solution. The quickest route is via the AutoRoute system. From Calais the tolls will come to about 90 Euros each way and it takes us about 11 hours. It can work out quite cost effective if you can fill the car. The advantage of running our chalet Sunday to Sunday is you could break your journey and stay in one of the low cost hotels on route down for example Albertville (45mins from Les Coches) and arrive in the resort early Sunday morning ready to ski that day and therefore getting 7 days skiing out of your holiday.
